Invitations and more from Akimbo

Sunday, October 10th, 2010 by WGSA

More invitations, this time brought to us by Akimbo.

Akimbo is great at producing unique designs that carry a theme through from invitations to table cards and thankyou notes. Some great little bomboniere too!

Our favourite was the Old School range that the designer, Alicia Parsons originally designed for her engagement party.

Invitation Inspiration!

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010 by WGSA

We had some requests for some Invitation samples and design ideas, after some quick research I found quite a few that I that I liked, most of these have been printed using a letterpress technique. I also found a local designer Allan Moran who had made some really unique invites using a Gocco press according to Alan it can take a bit of time to set up but we both agreed it’s worth it in the end.

Sing out if you know of any other local suppliers that have great invites that we can look at …

Second, don’t be afraid to break convention! Use colours, words and materials that embody your personalities. Lastly, make sure your invitation components are “well-packaged” to avoid the mess of loose cards falling into the laps of your recipients.
